Island Valley Golf Course first opened for play in 1960. The course was designed by Joe Checho.

Island Valley Golf Course is located on thirty-five acres of extremely scenic, wooded terrain. Streams flow throughout this forested course and come into play several times. This is a popular family owned and operated course.

The Island Valley Golf Course plays to a par-35 and a maximum 9-hole distance of 3,002 yards. The course rating is 66.2 with a slope rating of 100. The greens are well manicured, and the fairways are tree lined. The signature hole is #3, a 135-yard, par 3, located on an island in the middle of the course, requiring a shot from off a hill to the far side of the island.
